New Green Power Brains Office in Ghana!

Last week, our Martin Fortkort represented Green Power Brains at the Industrial Skills Week Africa (ISWA 2025), taking place from the 9th to the 10th of September at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, Zambia.

ISWA serves as a continental platform to accelerate dialogue and partnerships between leading institutions, private sector actors, and policymakers from across the continent, all working towards strengthening vocational and technical education to support Africa’s industrial future.

At ISWA 2025, Green Power Brains showcased our SM4GH2 project, featuring a fully digitalized solar mini-grid with integrated hydrogen system at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi in Ghana. The system will provide clean electricity and serve as a training platform to develop the skills of tomorrow’s engineers and technicians. The project with KNUST and Don Bosco Solar is funded by Skills Initiative for Africa – Financial Cooperation, a program implemented by AUDA NEPAD and co-funded by the European Union and BMZ through KfW.

Before leaving Zambia, Martin visited several potential project partners in and around Lusaka. Thank you very much The University Of Zambia (UNZA), Fountain Gate Crafts & Trades School and Industrial Training Center (ITC), it was a pleasure, and hope to see you again soon!
