Green Power Brains participated in the one-day workshop on Micromobility, Energy, and Charging Infrastructure, which was held in Herne and organised by Sustainable Technologies Laboratory at Hochschule Bochum. Around 40 participants attended the event, including representatives from Connected Mobility Düsseldorf, Dott, nextbike, and other key players in sustainable mobility and energy innovation.
The workshop explored strategies to reduce CO2 emissions through solar-powered charging infrastructure and introduced blockchain-based incentive systems using carbon and solar tokens. Another key topic was sustainable business models, such as Energy-as-a-Service, for light electric vehicle (LEV) users in logistics, sharing, and private transport.
Our presentation, delivered by Lukas Sturm, focused on our blockchain-based incentive system developed in the SCiSusMob project, demonstrating how tokenisation can encourage climate-positive behaviour and provide real value to users in decentralised micromobility networks.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration on the future of clean urban transport and decentralised energy solutions. Green Power Brains would like to thank the team at Bochum University of Applied Sciences for hosting and facilitating this event.
