Project summary: Cove-SEED (Sustainable Energy EDucation) is an Erasmus+ Centre of Vocational Excellence initiative that strengthens regional skills ecosystems for the clean energy transition. The project connects partners from five European regions to modernize vocational and professional education in line with the shift towards low‑carbon, renewable and smart energy systems.
Each regional CoVE functions as a collaborative hub where vocational providers, higher education institutions, companies and public actors co‑design training offers, develop future‑oriented competence profiles and pilot innovative learning formats. By aligning curricula with regional energy strategies and labour market needs, SEED supports the upskilling and reskilling of learners, educators and professionals for emerging roles in the sustainable energy sector.
Through international cooperation, joint experimentation and the exchange of best practices, SEED promotes vocational excellence and scalable solutions that can be adapted across Europe. In doing so, the project contributes to the EU’s green and digital transitions and helps secure the skilled workforce required for the deployment, operation and maintenance of sustainable energy technologies.
