Project summary: Green Power Brains has completed its second green hydrogen installation in Ghana, commissioned for a research institute in Accra and realised in partnership with ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions GmbH. The electricity generated by a solar PV carport system powers the electrolyser, so the hydrogen produced is green and sustainable. Stored at 300 bar, it is converted back into electricity by a fuel cell when needed.

The facility serves as a demonstration, research and training hub. Researchers and students can work with real operational data and study how the technology performs under local conditions in West Africa. This supports applied research, technical training and real project testing, and strengthens the link between clean energy, education and local innovation.
